I recently had the opportunity to sit down and chat with Allie Marshall, associate producer and actor of the new horror film 6:45 .
6:45 (www.645movie.com) is the latest horror movie from director Craig Singer (Dark Ride). Set in a time loop, Bobby and Jules wake-up time and time again in a murderous situation. 6:45 stars: Michael Reed, Augie Duke, Remy Ma, Armen Garo, Thomas G. Waites, Ray “Boom Boom” Mancini, Allie Marshall, and many more. The film is slated for a fall 2020 release, and writer/blogger Billy Henrickle had the pleasure of talking with Allie Marshall about this movie project!
BH: Welcome Allie and thanks for taking some time to talk with me today!
AM: Thanks for having me. I am so excited about this movie and love when I get the opportunity to talk about 6:45.
BH: So you worked on this film as an actor and have a role as an associate producer, how did that come about?
AM: I have been friends with Craig and known him for awhile. I have always wanted to work with him, and I finally got that chance. It was so great for me! I was able to learn so much working with Craig and everyone else. Working on this film with this amazing cast and crew has been one of the highlights of my career so far. I have gained so many new skills.
BH: That’s great. Lets talk about your career, your other work.
AM: I have been acting for a few years now, doing things for Lifetime, movies that have been on Netflix, Amazon Prime, and other platforms. However, this is the first time I have stepped into an associate producer role, and it was great. I now have a better understanding for the other side of film, putting on those shoes of the crew and realizing that everyone is so important to the film and every detail matters. I now have a better understanding of when things need to pause for a break or reshoot. Very eye opening for me. My advice to anyone that is passionate about something and there are different sides of your career, I would say get your hands dirty and try everything out about your profession. This will help you fully understand how everything works and measures you need to take to be successful in anything you want to do well.
BH: This movie 6:45 has a great cast as we already mentioned. How was it working with these amazing talented actors?
AM: I am so fortunate to have my role in this movie, like you said with all the talented actors that were cast and the great crew. I am extremely grateful to have a small role in the film and to be able to work with such a stellar group of actors. Just amazing!
This movie is just perfect for the times with everyone quarantined for so long due to COVID-19. We keep living the same day over and over and this is what the movie is about. This is tough for everyone and I know people will be able to relate to 6:45. In the movie, this couple wakes up every day at 6:45 in the morning and they are in the same situation and they feel stuck. I believe the connection will resonate will people and they will enjoy what we have created. We are all so proud of this film and passionate about what we created and I think that will come through in the finished product.
BH: When is the movie set to be released?
AM: We are now shooting for an early fall release with everything that has been going on.
BH: Where can people learn more about the movie?
AM: We have the website which is www.645movie.com and we are on Instagram and Facebook. People can just search for 6:45 on the social media sites.
BH: Can you share something interesting or fun that the reader will enjoy about the movie? People love the behind the scenes kind of stuff.
AM: So the film takes place in a quiet island resort called “Bog Grove.” The house we filmed in was sort of like a bed and breakfast or a small hotel, and this is where the cast and crew stayed for a month. We filmed from January 14th until Valentine’s Day! It was a mix between summer camp and a master class. We had a tons of fun and got to really know each other because we worked and lived together for the entire time. We got to hang out at dinner and after work and really got to know each other personally. You don’t get this on most films. The love I have for this cast and crew is just immense.
BH: Is there anything else you would like to get out about you are this film?
AM: Maybe just to ask the readers to please check out our progress with the movie on our website and social media and hopefully they will want to share in this experience with us by watching the movie.
BH: Thanks so much for your time and sharing all of this with us. Where can people find your work and keep current with you?
AM: Thank you Billy for having me. I really appreciate it. My website is www.alliemarshallofficial.com
