Eddie Fiola’s rise to one of the biggest names in BMX Freestyle and one of the greatest riders in the world with his undisputed title of “King of the Skateparks” did not come without challenges, hardships, and obstacles. Come along and follow the young Eddie as a 14 year old kid with no money for the pro bike and parts who rode for miles to dig in the trash can at SE Bicycle shop. Trying to piece together a pro bike to even the playing field and earn his way into his first magazine. Only to get that chance on the one day he didn’t have his bike at Lakewood Skatepark. No problem for Eddie, he just would make the most of the opportunity by running home 5 miles to get his bike to ride back the same 5 miles in hopes photographer Bob Osborn would still be at the skatepark.
